Newsletters

E-Newsletters
CTPA members who provide the organization with their on-line address receive frequent emails with newsworthy items-information of interest to the guide and tourism community of the greater Chicago area. Somewhat dependent on member contributions, there may be one or several emails sent each week.

The emails to CTPA members mostly contain "news you can use," breaking news, links to websites, and reminders about upcoming events which may also be publicized in "snail mailings." To be more user friendly, we try to avoid embedding photos or attaching files to the e-newsletters, and we always "blind copy" so member addresses are not revealed to others.

"Windy Words" our Printed Newsletters
As news flow, time and energy levels permit (read 'sporadically'), printed newsletters are sent to the CTPA membership. The publication is called "Windy Words" and the articles included in these photocopied newsletters tend to contain information of a more enduring quality. Whenever possible, we also try to include photos from member events.

Apropos quotes, "Ya shoulda been there" first person articles, Commentary Notes, "My Best Tour Day," election results, activity write-ups, book reviews, volunteer opportunities, "Worth Walking By" and "Worth Stopping In," Noteworthy websites reviewed, "Save the Date" announcements for upcoming events, touring protocol reminders, Chicago statistics, "Did You Know...?" -all have been covered by CTPA authors/reporters.

Contributions always welcomed!
Via email, via snail mail and at meetings-everyone, anyone, especially all categories of members (!) are invited to submit news and information to share with the CTPA membership.

The editor of and the disseminator of information at present is the CTPA President, Donna Primas. If you have news items to share, please send her an email, so that she can add the information to the next member mailing- "e" or otherwise!
